09.2012 - Needs audit: Before starting the informative presentations and workshops, we will conduct a survey (needs audit) to detect the attitudes of pupils towards animals. We will analyse the data and the results. Creation of the website and the logo.

10.2012 - Getting started: We will acquaint the schools’ communities with the project theme and the work organisation by presentations (Powerpoint), posters created by each country's pupils and sharing them in Germany.

10.2012 - Evaluation of the draft logos and deciding on the final logo of the project.

11.2012 - Task sharing: We will give names to our classes by choosing the most typical animals in each country. They will design researches, art works and find out info about that animal. We will share our outcome on our project website.

12.2012 - Pupils will search for the endangered species and find the reasons why they aren't alive today. They will learn by visiting museums, national parks, searching on the internet and etc.

01.2013 - The New Year: We will celebrate the new year with pictures and photoes of animals that they have already searched for and gotten information, on the walls of the school.

02.2013 - Placing pictures and articles on the project website.

03.2013 - The start-up for the end product: Pupils and staff will start thinking of and writing down a scenario for the end product “a joint short movie”. They will realize the world of animals in the movie.

04.2013 - Celebration of spring: Pupils will enjoy with songs about animals and a festive contest, imitation of animal sounds; such as meaw for cats.

05.2013 - Connection:Pupils will exchange their products through e-mails, letters, and video conferencing. Creating e-mail friendships.

06.2013 - Promotional events: Inter-school and in-school events will be conducted on the school grounds to popularise the subject of animals, including the animal-knowledge contest.

Evaluation of the first year.

09.2013 - Summary of the first year: We will create a joint powerpoint in English and photostories to report on the course of the project activities after the first and second term of the Year 1.

10.2013 - Art activity: Pupils will create animal figures using recycling materials such as plastic bottle, paper, old clothes, etc.

11.2013 - Animal fables, folktales and myths: Pupils will research in literature and then share what they learn by storytelling, drawing comics or creating a narrative about an animal rather than a traditional report. We will share the products on the website.

12.2013 - Dictionary of animal names: in participant countries’ languages.

01.2014 - Contests: The contest of photograph and drawing on the subject “The world of animals through the children’s eyes” will start. This contest will be on the project website.

02.2014 - Pupils will exchange traditional folktales; storybooks related to their country; local fables, myths and legends; and information on religious and national festivals and national days, with their partner countries.

03.2014 - Searching animals in popular art culture and sharing the outcomes on the project website.

04.2014 - Campaigns: Ecology campaigns and other types of activities. Pupils will prepare brochures, booklets and postcards in order to distribute and send them to other countries and the instutions around the school.

05.2014 - School trips: We will visit the botanical gardens, zoos where pupils will learn about the animals in their local area and other European countries. These visits will give them an opportunity to gain knowledge about the animal species kept in the zoo as well as about endangered species of animals in Europe and other continents (they may attend a theme-related lecture in the zoo). Local trips to other towns and country sides or National Parks could be planned in order to have an insight of ecosystem and be acquainted with the ways of nature conservation in national parks and nature reserves. Pupils will prepare a report after these trips.

06.2014 - Evaluation: Making the same questionnaire which has been conducted in first month of the project and then comparing the results. Presenting the the values on our web-site as graphics. Making a movie of all activities by collecting the products of all countries.
